(Open for anyone ^^)
Although the moon shone bright and glittering in the velvet sky, it's shafts of cold light were unable to penetrate the density of the treetops below - beneath this layer of vegetation, the air was dark and thick with humidity, the only faint sources of light being from rogue moonbeams that had valiantly battled their way through the leaves in order to pepper the ground with silver dapples. A soft breeze whispered it's way through the leaves, ghosting lazily past them and brushing them lightly together, the language created being one of such complexity that none would ever understand it - the forest was filled with the gentle murmurs, as though the leaves communicated only with one another, in voices too low to be audible to the human ear.
Maybe even to the feline ear.
Akelina walked not on the forest floor, but instead preferred to wend her way through the first level of branches amongst the lower trees. Ears arcing and rotating rapidly on her skull, she blanched slightly at every new noise, not from fear, but from pure instinct; even the whispers of the wind were enough to keep her on full alert, for though the forest was quiet, she knew full-well what could be lurking silently in the darkness.
Twigs cracked, leaves rustled, creatures of the night chattered and called to one another from their concealed refuges. She didn't know their language, but she knew enough to be able to tell that they, at least, were neither worried nor angry about her presence - caracals do not hunt every night, and she already had yesterday's kill cached away in the forked branches of her home tree. Tonight was but a routine patrol that she took upon herself to make every now and then, scanning the area for any new scents or arrivals.
Speaking of scents....she paused briefly, one forepaw raised, ears ceasing their frantic circling and swivelling slowly so that they were pricked high and forwards on her skull. Nose twitching and eyes flicking left to right, she stayed in this taut and tense position for no longer than three seconds, before her body relaxed and she continued on....a sight more carefully than before.
Every so often she passed beneath one of the thin rays of moonlight, which bleached her tan coat and broke up her silhouetted outline, dappling her dark body with pale specks, as it had done to the forest floor. Thus, wraithlike and silent, it was in this manner that she drifted down her path alongside the breeze, so warily, so carefully - a denizen of the shadowed trees, fully awake during the watches of the night, whilst the dwellers of daylight were curled up and dreaming.
There was something new in the air tonight - something that Akelina had not been aware of beforehand, until the scent of it had hit her full in the muzzle. She could not say exactly what it was, but now she knew it was there, caution was a priority. After all, who could really be sure of just what was prowling in those dense and powerful shadows...?

Reniko lazed in the darkness; full from an evening meal of monkey. She had caught it herself, for with her light weight and small build for a tiger, it was easy to prowl the trees. Now she spent her time grooming her cloud white coat.
Ren decided to move to the low branch of a tree; there could be other larger cats stalking about the darkness. And she would never hear them coming if they meant to be silent, she herself was as silent as the stars themselves and also as beautiful. Her light blue stripes flashed silver in the moonlight as she leaped onto the moist branch of a large tree. The moon was especially bright tonight, after all it was full.
Ren licked her paws and cleaned them of blood before she lay her head on the branch and closed her eyes to slits. She would not sleep, but watch for other cats; her favorite pass time. Suddenly she sensed something approaching through the dense foliage beyond. Something silent. Something that was smaller than her. She tensed, ready to pounce if this something was unfriendly.

A flash of silver through the branches of the trees drew Akelina's eyes swiftly and she hesitated, body tense and ready to fly if need by. She ventured slowly onwards, ears arced atop her skull, tail held low and still; the scent was so strong now that she wondered how she could have missed it beforehand. Whatever-it-was must have been so close....
Keeping to the shadows, her gaze fell upon a small white tiger, body adorned with pale blue stripes - that must be what had caused the silver flare that had so alerted her. Akelina was all the more wary now, knowing full-well that tigers were both bigger and stronger than she herself was, and if this one hadn't eaten....but there was a scent of blood around, and the caracal could only come to the conclusion that it must have already hunted this night.
At any rate, there was no way to pass unnoticed - if she wished to continue her path, she would have to make herself known by passing in the open. But it's body looked tense and alert, and she knew it had sensed her. If she could just avoid startling it....if she could just stay out of reach of those lethal, still-bloodstained claws...
Drawing in a long breath, Akelina prowled forwards, extracting herself from the darkness and placing herself in full view of the bigger, fully-alert feline, trying and failing to hide her nervousness of the potentially fatal situation.

The creature Ren had detected was not a huge predator, but a small caracal. Ren immediately let her guard down; a cat this small would never attack her. She looked on at the caracal, whose body was tense as it walked.
Reniko could smell that the caracal was distraught; was little Rennie tiger scary? She looked down at herself; indeed she was. Her paws were still covered in the blood of a monkey and her claws shone long and sharp under them. She smiled in amusement, for no other cat had ever found her intimidating; that is why she stayed in the trees to avoid them and simply watched their activity from safety.
"Just passing through, eh?" Ren asked the smaller cat, "there's no need to fear, I've already eaten. I wouldn't partake in the flesh of another cat anyway."
She sat on the branch staring down at the caracal; would this smaller cat trust her word, or would yet another chance for friendship get away from her?

Akelina flinched slightly when the tiger started to speak, but relaxed at her later words - the bigger cat genuinely seemed unwilling to attack her, which relieved the caracal to no end. Being mauled to death hadn't been at the very top of her to-do list, really.
"Forgive my nervousness - I'm not used to seeing others around here." On all of the jaunts she'd been on, the largest other feline she'd seen was a Golden cat - never a tiger. "I hope I didn't interrupt you in anything?" It looked as though it had been trying to sleep before she came along...
Akelina found she was more relaxed than she would have first expected in the presence of such a comparatively large cat. She knew that the tiger could be lying, lulling her into a false sense of security, but for some reason, she didn't think that was so - she felt she could trust this particular cat.

mind if i join ladies?
Loki was on a moonlit stroll through the jungle he had not long been in this area and he was desperate to meet some ladies. He hadn't see one for days and his ego needed a boost. The large sandy coloured tiger took long but fluid strides across the leafy floor. He wasn't tall for a male tiger but average size though he was well built very muscled and of course very handsome.
Darkbrown ears scanned the night time sounds of the jungle and low on the breath of humid wind that passed him by he detected voices......female voices. Excellent. He hastened his walk until scents hit him. He was near now. Looking about himself he caught the white, almost etherial glow of the white tigress in the moonlight. Nice he thought to himself as he adopted his proud strut up to them.
"Good Evening Ladies" he said in his low, but smooth voice. Silky tones rolling off his tongue as he looked up to the sight of the Tigress and the much smaller carcal in the lower tree branches. He simply stood beneath them for a moment looking up at them and as his personality led him, he admired the tigress. She was quite beautiful and the moonlight hit her perfectly. Though not of the same species the male was inclined to notice every female and so the caracal got her attention shortly after he had inspected the tigress. She was also a fine specimen, he had hit the jackpot tonight....now if they would only take to his smooth charm and provide him with some entertainment.

Ren smiled warmly at the caracal, about to address her again, when the sandy colored pelt caught her eye. She dropped into a crouch from her sitting position on the low branch. A male; she growled to herself. She had been double-crossed by several males in her past and was not about to cozy up to this one, how ever handsome he was.
She slight body flowed down the trunk of the tree like water. She felt the need to protect the caracal: her new potential friend. She didn't know why.
"Good Evening Ladies" he said.
Reniko knew the intentions of all males; it made her tense up and she gave the other tiger a look of disgust and didn't speak to him. She flexed her claws into the cool damp ground. What would the coming of this other; this male, bring?

Alerted by the female's growl, Akelina's ears flicked at the approach of another and her head whipped round as the sandy-coated cat padded onto the scene. Body tensing up and muscles tautening for the third time that night, she fixed him with a wary, mistrusting eye, staying safely up on her low tree branch whilst her aquaintance dropped from the bough to the floor to face the male.
She listened, mutely judgemental, as the melting tones and words rolled easily from his tongue; laying her delicate ears back to her skull, she lashed her tail behind her and half-closed her eyes, reducing them to slits of hard, emerald glass. She was aware this male had most likely entranced a good few females in his time, and Akelina could obviously see why - he was certainly a good-looking fellow, there was no doubt about that at all...but she was determined not to be yet another triumph for him.
"Good evening to you, too." She answered his greeting in her own quick, soft-spoken tone, but there was a quiet frostiness in her voice - she was greatly intimidated and a little scared by this much larger cat, as she had been with her new-found possible friend, and that coupled with the fact that she was not inclined to trust a male made her hesitant to be overly ready to welcome him.
She watched as the female tiger ran her claws into the earth, and came to the conclusion that she must know what she was doing.....but still, Akelina strongly hoped that the well-built, muscled male would do her companion no harm....

Loki jerked his head back as the white and blue tigress slid down the tree to grace the floor infront of him still not saying a word.
"Well you're even more beautiful close up" he said softly with his charming smile. "No need to be alarmed by my presence I am just out to make friends here.....I have not long wandered into this jungle and to my delight it was you two that i came across first."
He looked up at the caracal she looked tense and a little afraid. He could understand why he was a rather large tiger and even compared to the female of his species that now stood before him he was large.
"might i Introduce myself, My name is Loki and it is a pleasure to meet you two beautiful felines" he was heavy in his complimets as he always enjoyed paying the ladies complements, with past experience he found that they usually enjoyed it.
They had nothing to fear from him. He was not viscious, nor forceful he would never act upon anything if a female didn't want to and he would never attack a female.

"Well you're even more beautiful close up" he said.
Ren only glared at him. Usually she was the first one to notice and mention how beautiful she was. He spoke more; apparently telling them his intentions, but from the mouth of a male. Ren was disinclined to trust him. He had mentioned his name: Loki. Ren liked how the name rolled in her mind; a very pleasant sound. It suited his charming good looks and smooth voice.
She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him with a cold stare. But something inside her kept making her want to trust him; the fur on her back smoothed and she sheathed her claws. "So, then, Loki," she tried the name for the first time; liking the way it glided out of her mouth, "why sneak around if you only want to make friends." she said with genuine curiosity, even though it came out as more of an interrogation. She knew she had no room to talk; it was her favorite pastime to sneak about and watch other cats.
The caracal seemed worried, so Ren decided to introduce herself to reassure her that there would be no fight here caused by Ren: "My name is Reniko. My friends call me Rennie, but seeing as how i don't have any friends, i generally go by Ren." she smiled self importantly. "It is nice to make your acquaintances."

Feeling more comfortable now she knew their names, Akelina dropped down to a lower branch and sat down, surveying them both a little more easily than she had done before.
"Whilst we're at the introductions, my name's Akelina." Anyone could feel free to shorten it in any way they wished - she'd answer to it nonetheless. "It's a pleasure to meet you both." She saw now that they were unlikely to come to blows over this - instinct told her that the intentions of the new tiger, Loki, were not predatory; therefore, she stilled the lashing of her tail and her ears pricked forwards once again, rotating a little at the background noises of the jungle.
In her calmer state, she gave Loki another look-over - his stance was relaxed, his claws sheathed and there was nothing in his presence to suggest he was untrustworthy. He truly didn't seem to mean any harm.
It was strange - not half-an-hour before she had believed herself to be completely alone in this area of the jungle, and now....two tigers, appeared from nowhere, and taking time to acquaint themselves with each other and with her. It was not something that Akelina was used to, but she found she wasn't averse to it....
How odd Fate could be...

ooc: hehe love this rp
ic:
Loki noticed the she-tiger's glare and coldness towards him at first but she seemed to settle. Maybe she was a little weary of males, a bad experience perhaps, probably a similar experience that many of the females loki had worked his charms on. Though he hated to admit he was a rogue to many female hearts over his short years. They would fall for his charms and he would simply move on and find a new female to charm. He shrugged, this icy female was a new challenge and Loki reveled in the idea of getting her to warm round to him.
Then she addressed him further. "why sneak around if you only want to make friends." Loki kept his cool demeanour and smiled "Why my beautiful lady, I wasn't sneaking...merely walking with stealth, would you not do the same being in a land you had never stepped paw on before." of course 'walking with stealth' was practically the same as sneaking but his way of putting it sounded so much more refined.
The female then uttered an introduction ~Reniko~ the name echoed about between his dark brown ears. "Such a beautiful name" he replied as the caracal jumped down onto a lower closer branch. "Whilst we're at the introductions, my name's Akelina."
"Another beautiful name" Loki purred as she introduced herself. "what luck is mine that i should meet you lovely ladies" he bowed his head and as he brought it back to Ren's eye level he locked his yellow and green eyes upon hers and gave her one of his charming smiles. Then offered a smile to Akeli to make her more at ease around him, he hated to see a tense female, especially when they were round him.

Ren was confused for a second; never been here? "You seem to know your way around quite well for never setting foot here." She smiled teasingly. She still didn't completely trust this newcomer, but what could she do. He seemed to be doing the exact thing that she was doing before he interrupted: trying to make a friend.
Maybe this could be fun, she thought. Loki meant no harm after all; Reniko knew what he meant to do, but was not interested in it with someone she had just met. It could be fun to play though. Loki stared her right in the eyes; his eyes of two different colors were stunning in the moon light. She stared back intently with ocean blue eyes; she blinked twice and raised an eyebrow.
Ren broke their eye contact and looked to Akelina, "It is good to know your name." Ren said to her. Now addressing both of them she asked, "Would anyone care to go for a night swim? Since you have never trodden here before, Loki, I could show you the best lake if you would like." She smiled and hoped her soft tone had hooked him. Ren stood from where she sat and stepped past Loki; only looking back to meet his gaze once more.

Akelina returned Loki's smile freely, before letting her small muzzle curve slowly into another secret, knowing smirk when she saw him cast another glance to Reniko - there was definately something hovering between those two tigers, some sort of preliminary spark. Well, in her opinion, at any rate. She could be wrong, of course....time would tell, no doubt.
She nodded in reply to Reniko's suggestion of a night-swim - Akelina was oddly fond of water, for a caracal. Most preferred to steer clear of the lakes, but as for her....although she didn't really like getting her coat completely soaked, she did always find a quick dabble of the paws in the shallows to be quite an enjoyable past-time - one she hadn't indulged herself in for a good while, thinking about it. She reckoned it was about time she got round to it again.
She dropped gracefully from the branch and shook her tan coat free of the few leaves that had settled there, before leaping down from the tree completely and landing quietly on the damp forest floor, heading to follow Reniko and glancing over her shoulder briefly - just to see if Loki had also decided to accept the white-coated tiger's offer.

"You seem to know your way around quite well for never setting foot here." "nope never been",he replied and he was being honest. "ijust following the well trodden path" he said with a rasie of one brow.
Loki wasn't sure what Ren was up to and was more than likely playing him at his own game. Whatever, he wasn't fussed either way he got to look at her and feat his eyes on her fine tigress form. "Would anyone care to go for a night swim? she said. Oh lord no he thought. though most tigers liked to swim Loki wasn't one of them. He hated it. He was able to swim and could quiet well but he hated looking like a drowned rat afterwards especially infront of females.
Ren and Akelina would think him rediculous. He shook his head "i prefer not to swim but i will accompany you ladies to the water if that is ok." he swerved around the option of swimming. He would refuse at all costs. Akelina dropped down from the tree and Loki looked at her and how graceful she was in her movements. She began to follow and Loki followed on too. "I have to say I don't mind watching you two ladies walk away" he said following a little distance behind them with a soft smirk upon his face.
