"Afraid of the water, Kitten?" Ren teased Loki. What kind of tiger refused to swim. She had loved it since she was a cub; frolicking in the water with her mother. What could a little water hurt? Oh, well, she would show him exactly how much fun she could have in the water. How graceful she could be and how beautiful she looked with her fur sleek and soaked. It would add to her game. She smirked and started toward her favorite body of water.
"Akelina is not afraid, are you?" she addressed the caracal.
She walked in front of Loki and sensed his pleasure at striding behind them; what a view for a young male she thought. It made her a little angry but also kind of amused. She flicked Loki's nose with the tip of her tail, "Better be careful, Kitten, the water might bite." She smiled.
She wondered if he would be frustrated by her new nick-name for him; she had chosen to call him 'kitten' because only tiger cubs feared the water. She had a slight hope that he was annoyed; she loved to play with other cats.
They came upon the watering hole that Ren had picked. The moon shone its light on the surface and white disk seemed to glide upon the water. There were no other creatures about in the dark of the night. Ren slid into the water with the same grace she had used while climbing down the tree. She made almost no sound as her feet found the bottom and she stood looking up at the stars. She waited for Akelina to join her.

(Eee, sorry for the late reply - had computer issues xD)
Padding along quietly, Akelina smiled slightly as Ren proceeded to tease Loki for his reluctance to swim and bestowing on him a new nickname - 'Kitten'. The two of them seemed to be playing a strange game with one another - it must be said that it confused the little caracal somewhat, but she didn't fret over it. She had never been around other cats much and therefore didn't have very developed social-skills, so these odd passes the tigers were sending to one another, whilst seeming strange to her, could well be normal behaviour that she just wasn't fully aware of.
"Akelina is not afraid, are you?" She glanced at Ren and shook her head in answer to her question. "I can't say that I am, no." She had never feared water, knowing it could do no harm as long as she kept her paws on the bottom and didn't go out of her depth. She glanced over her shoulder at Loki briefly, surprised to hear that he wasn't fond of water - she had thought, with her basic knowledge of other cats, that swimming was a regular past-time of a tiger, but apparently he was an exception. 'Maybe he doesn't want to get his fur in a mess', she thought to herself, and smiled slightly - he seemed to take a measure of pride in his appearance.
Akelina picked her way down the muddy bank to the glittering water's edge and dipped in a preliminary-testing paw, flicking her ears slightly. She soon decided the silvery water was to her liking, however, and waded further in to join Ren, lifting her paws up and holding her head a little higher than usual, just in case - no harm in being cautious. She swivelled round in the water, looking up at Loki and twitching her whiskers a little, droplets of quicksilver flying from them as she did so and rejoining the main body of water with minute splashes.
"You're sure you won't join us?" Never know - he might enjoy it if he gave it a try....

Loki just kept a cool face and looked at Ren. She had decided to tease him about his dislike of swimming and also had decided to give him a nick name. Kitten. It annoyed him slightly because he felt so patronised by it but he wasn't going to show her how he felt.
"No I shall just watch you two swim, as my view is much better from sitting on the banks. " he said with a smirk on his face. "I am not afraid of the water, i just prefer not to swim." With that Ren and akelina made their way into the water. He noted how graceful the pair looked in the moonlit pool. He partiularly noted how Ren looked so sleek in the rippling water lost in his thoughts he almost let a purr tumble from his mouth but he caught himself just in time.
"I am sure you two have fun i'll just relax up here" he smiled as he answered Keli's questioning.
The large male mad his way to a smooth boulder and climbed up onto it and lay down. He looked regal under the moonlight as he lay there like a sphynx guarding the pyramids.

((This is my favorite RP of the ones i'm involved in. ^_^ ))
Ren chuckled to herself, she could be so mean right now. Just a slight pull on Loki's fur and he would be in the water. Oh, he would look so cute all wet. His face went blank as he seemed to be lost in thought.
Reniko remembered her mother as she swam silently. She was probably dead by now, Ren thought with sorrow; her mother was rather old and Ren had been her last cub. Looking back at Loki launched her into another thought: her parents were so strangely matched. Her mother so wise and aged, while her father was younger and more like Loki really. Female tigers were usually attracted to males that were like their father; that's what Ren's mother had told her anyway.
She had made a decision while thinking; she was slightly attracted to Loki and she liked him as a cat too, but she would have to test him in every way possible if they were to be friends rather than just passing acquaintances. His dislike of water, for one thing, could be a starting point. If he was angry at her next action, she didn't see this friendship going far, but if he was quick to forgive...
"Are you sure you don't want to join us Kitten?" she positioned herself in front of him and stared up at his handsome face with her curious blue gaze. Suddenly she launched herself out of the water and caught him in a sort of hug. She pulled him down with all her slight weight. Even if she didn't manage to pull him in after her effort, he would still be soaked from her fur. That made her smile a little.

Akelina watched with a sly smirk dancing on her muzzle as Ren prowled towards Loki - she could almost see the white tiger's intent and purpose in her step, and the caracal couldn't help but wonder what the outcome would be. Loki seemed to be rather lost in thought, but no doubt that wouldn't last for very long....
Akelina was enjoying herself here - she now felt entirely relaxed and at ease with these two larger cats, and had been relieved to find that they were a amiable and friendly pair. She had never been one to have many aquaintances and had spent a lot of her time on her own, so it was a pleasant surprise to find these two tigers were willing to be around her, even though she was a different species.
She paddled a little closer to the bank to stop herself from going out of her depth as she watched the scene unfold. She heard Ren voice her question - "Are you sure you don't want to join us, Kitten?" - before she suddenly lunged from the water and hooked her paws around Loki's neck, attempting to haul him back down with her.
'Well', she thought playfully, 'Whether he tumbles in with her or not, at least we'll be able to see what he looks like with wet fur.' She proceeded to sit down in the shallow water and watch for Loki's reaction to the sudden attack.

Loki looked down at Reniko's Question "Are you sure you don't want to join us Kitten?" he opened his mouth to return a witty retort but was caught off guard as she launched herself out of the water, followed by a huge wave of water that chased after her clinging to her white fur. A shocked expression overcame his features for that millesecond when he realised what was happening.
He could do nothing about it but his feline reations took over him and his large powerful claws unsheathed to grip the rocks surface. He clung for a little time but damned that rock had a smooth water worn surface and his claws found now hold at all. He slid to the waters surface with Ren and with an enormous splash the pair landed in the silvery dip. The wave of their landing would surley get Akelina as she sat watching amused at the situation.
Recovering from the shock of the attack and the fall he surfaced and looked around for Ren. Dratted female. he thought, tho he could see the amusing side and only took her actions as flirtations which is what he enjoyed and he was winning her over which is what he set out to do as she was so cold in her attentions to him at the first meeting.
The large male didn't look overly rediculous when wet, the fur clung neatly over his muscles and his coat gleamed with the silvery hue of the water under the moonlight. It wasn't that he didnt like the water just hated being wet and having to dry and then his fur might start sticking up and he would have to spend time grooming himself instead of chasing females. This was the males logic behind not going in the water.
He couldn't see Ren but spotted Keli sat out at the shallows. He grinned at her and began to plot his flirtatious revenge against Ren in his mind as he waited for her to surface.

Ha! Got him! Ren was pleased with herself as she swam beneath the cool water. Surly he would want to get her back, but that was not important right now. She held her breath and swam to the far side of the pond. Surfacing far from Loki and Akelina. She treaded water with her powerful legs and laughed at him from across the water.
The sun was starting to come up, but it was straining to make its way through the forest canopy. Ren looked up; she felt more alive than she had all her life. So, this is what its like to have friends?
Ren climbed out of the water on the opposite bank on which she had entered the water and where the other two still waited. "So now that we're all soaking wet, care to come to the rocky area to bask in the morning sun?" the question was directed mostly at Akelina; Ren was still trying to annoy Loki.
Ren cleaned her face dutifully and awaited their answer.

Akelina's green eyes widened for a brief second as the wave of water from their heavy landing raced towards her, hitting her full in the muzzle and completely drenching her. Just perfect....but she couldn't help but smile at her own misfortune. Her tan fur was dark from the water and droplets glistened on her whiskers, and she knew that when she dried off she would look like a walking ball of fluff - the image of her own foolishness brought a quiet snigger from her muzzle.
She glanced at Loki - looking rather handsome with his sleek, glistening fur, mind you - catching his eye and returning his wide grin, before looking back to the water and watching for Ren to surface. Ah - there she was, over the other side of the pool, resurfacing just as the sun began to force it's timid way through the heavy foliage.
"So now that we're all soaking wet," Ren voiced as she padded back over towards them, "care to come to the rocky area to bask in the morning sun?" The idea appealed greatly to Akelina - the warmth of the sun would be very welcome to her right now; it would dry her fur relatively quickly, much quicker than if she stayed in the humidity of the jungle.
"I would be glad to, yes - the sooner I get myself dried off, the better." She answered, a cheerful glint dancing in her eye. She turned to Loki, head tilted slightly. "So - will you join us?" She padded to the bank and hauled herself out, standing beside Ren and waiting for his decision.

Loki watched as Ren surfaced at the other side of the pool and suggested they go and bask. It was a good idea as he too wished to dry off quickly. He nodded then as Akeli paddled over to Ren and also encouraged him to join.
He skirted around the lake at its most shallow points and picked up a bold run through the water. He ran through it with ease and the water danced up behind him. His last bound lead to a leap through the air and he landed squarely next to Akeli and Ren. "lets go then" he said with a raised brow and a grin at the ladies. He could see Ren had not finished her plot to annoy/flirt with him and he watched her cautiously, he would not be caught off guard as much as he was last time.
The male tiger Shook off his pelt and covered the two in droplets of water. He fur had spiked up a little from the shaking but not too badly. He just wanted to get dry now.

((I can't really think of anything to write... I think we need more of a plot))
Ren led the two to her favorite sunning spot. The rocks towered over even the trees of the forest; they were like mountains, but warmer, a lot warmer. "Be careful here, the rocks are smooth; it's easy to lose your footing."
She looked for footholds in the cliff face. She had been up these rocks many times in her life, but that didn't make them any less treacherous. She sat down and analyzed the many ways to the summit. Loki and Akelina stopped behind her. Finally picking a route Ren was the first to start up the rock. She used the moss that grew there as a grip for her claws. "Akelina, it might be easier for you if you climbed to the top of that tree there and then joined us on the rock." Noting Akelina's smaller stride, Ren pointed to a near by tree with her tail; its branches met a small crevice in the cliff about three quarters of the way up.
It got easier to climb as she went; the slope was less steep the farther up you climbed. Ren looked back from where she clung to the moss at Loki, and waited for him to join her.

((*nodnod* Methinks we do, yeh))
Akelina looked up at the steep rock face with a measure of trepadition, glad when Ren suggested an easier path for her to take - she didn't think her little strides would have done her much good on that slippery rock.
She headed over to the tree and leapt up it's smooth trunk, claws driving into the rough bark and gripping it securely as her hind legs propelled her to the first level of branches. Once there, it got easier for her to continue the climb, slinking over the branches and leaping every now and then to reach a slightly higher one.
The caracal paused about halfway up, looking back down at the two tigers with her tail swinging slightly and hesitating in order to wait for them to catch up - she knew it would take them slightly longer, having to travel up that difficult slope, but as far as she could see, it looked worth the climb.
The sun was glistening brilliantly on the smooth surface of the crevice above them - she could already feel the gentle heat wafting down towards them, accompanied by the cool breeze that was always present but that never reached the depths of the forest, stopped by the dense foliage. It certainly looked like a wonderful place to bask...

Loki began to follow up the rocky face. His claws gripping excellently, though he found climbing sometimes a struggle due to his massive bulk. He was coping fairly well as he followed up to the resting place Ren had mentioned. He was pretty much right behind her when one of his back paws lost grip he slid a little but his three other sets of claws hung true to the stone and he was swiftly back on balence and heading up the rock.
A scratch mark was all that was left behind, Maybe Ren would see it when she came here alone and would think of him. He smirked at the thought and soon came up along side her as the face became less steep and it started to get easier to climb. He looked across at Keli and she was heading up the tree parellel to them. She was way ahead of them for she had the easier climb. She was a master at climbing trees and she made it look easy. He looked back to Ren and smiled one of his charming smiles. Even when clinging to a rock face he still managed to flirt. "after you my lady" he said with a grin. Secretly he wanted to watch where she went as she knew the best ways up and he didn't want to embarrass himself by slipping again.
The higher they climbed and the more the sun rose he too could feel the warmth begin to beat down upon them. He was starting to feel a little cold with his wet fur.
(ooc what do we think for a plot then?)

Ren made it to the top quickly and stared out at the forest canopy. The sun had gotten stronger and the morning mist had faded away. She looked at Loki and Akelina, who had just made it up as well and smiled. She stared off into the distance again; what is that? A small patch of black caught her attention. It was where her home was; where she had lived with her mother. Why would it be black like that?
"Loki, Akelina, do you see that out there?" Ren asked them without looking back, "What does that look like to you?" she knew it was the remnants of a fire but wanted a second opinion; she was shocked by it. "It's around my mother's territory."
A quiet morning of basking was interrupted by Ren's curiosity about the scorched land to the west. She wanted to check it out. Hopefully all the cats she knew that lived there had gotten out safely.

Akelina's emerald eyes closed to slits as she peered into the misty distance, gaze focusing on the charred, blackened remains of what had previously been plentiful land.
"It's around my mother's territory." The caracal heard the shock and worry in Ren's voice, and she understood their presence - the Fire appeared to have eaten up everything that had been in it's path, leaving behind nothing but those black remnants and reminders. It was rather a haunting sight, and the thought that her friend's family may have been right in the middle of it...
"Is...was it...Fire?" She asked tentatively, still staring at the charred patch, her ears slowly laying down on her skull and her tail curling around her little fawn body.
Akelina did not know Fire. She had never encountered it, but she knew from her mother's tales that Fire was a terrible, terrible thing, something to be feared above everything else. It blinded, it choked, it ignited the fur....Fire killed. Killed everything, be it vegetation or creature. She could feel her pelt beginning to bristle just thinking about it...
"Do you...wish to investigate?" She voiced, gaze flicking over to Ren. And if she did....maybe she would like some company? After all, she couldn't be certain what would be found there....or what might still lurk amongst the dead remains.
((Sounds like a good starting-point for a plot to me ^_^))

Loki peered from the ledge that the three had come to rest on and saw the black patch that the two ladies were looking at. He frowned slightly at the thought that fires were starting around near by and knew the devastation of a forest fire. He looked at Ren and discovered her feelings about the situation by the look upon her face.
"I hate to confirm both your suspicions but that is the remains of a forest fire, i know the look of burnt earth all too well. (ooc lol just thought up some back history for loki) He placed a paw lightly on Ren's "i'm sure your mother will have survived we tigers have and excellent sense of danger and she would have fled before she got caught up in it."
He tired to comfort her and wasn't sure if it was working but he had tried at least. Kel looked rather vague as though she had not seen fire before but she also looked stern against it so somewhere along the line she would have been taught that it was bad news.
Loki looked out at the blackness it seemed to taunt the three like a black hole and yet they were also drawn to it much like a black hole. "the decision is up to you but i warn both that a forest fire is not a nice sight to return to." he spoke with a hint of past experiene.
