Gusts of icy wind carried dark clouds above the highest peaks where a lonely creature lurked. She stared up at the sky and as she did, a snow flake wafted upon the bridge of her nose. The hybrid grinned, her ebony ears perked as she shifted her gaze to the lands below her where it was warm and full of prey. She longed to return, but she was too much of a threat to those who lived there.
Her name was Doii who was quite the psycho. It all started when she was just a cub living with her mother down in the plains. They had gotten separated, leaving Doii alone to starve. And after not eating for such a long time, she went crazy. She killed all those who crossed her path and ate them. This lasted for three days, and when she came to, she didn't remember anything of it. She was ran off by many which was how she finally figured it out. Doii, her belly full, made her way in shame to the mountains for the safety of others. Much did she enjoy it there, the soft feeling of snow under her paws, the warm caves, the beautiful prey, but she was very lonely. Many of the friends she did come to know were killed by her own claws. Doii was a serious psycho, but only sometimes. These killing sprees she goes on when something has triggered it have been called 'reactions'. She's only experienced three major ones; the others are quick and only a few are killed.
Doii sighed. A cloud of warm breath breezed out of her mouth. She looked around the snow covered ground in search of some simple prey, like a snow hare or a squirrel. And she found it. A white hare was prancing around dry undergrowth, unaware of its stalker. Doii's brown eyes pierced through it's beautiful fur. She shook her haunches and gave an enormous leap through the air. The hybrid landed heavily on it. She licked her lips with satisfaction after biting its neck, finishing it off quickly. Before her feast started, she silently thanked it for coming into her gray-brown paws.
After her meal she settled herself inside her warm cave. She was sheltered from the blizzard and was slowly drifting into sleep, curled up in a lump of dusty brown fur when something outside grabbed her attention...
