Spring. The time when water replaced snow as it rushed away in the growing heat. And where there was water, there was mud. Brown paws hit the muddy slope, sending water and mud flying. The small leopard blinked as it flew into his face. There was a large rock infront of him, and he was head directly for it. Suddenly he jerked himself back and pushed of the ground, sailing breifly through the air. Paws missed the rock and with a suprised grunt the small cat fell face first into the dirt.
He let out a hiss as he raised himself up. His patterns not natural of his species, but they made him blend in with the sodden ground. He grumbled and walkd over to the rock, perching himself on it. Paws hanging over, swinging back and forth flexing his claws.
Why can't I make it! The cat yelled at himself. He seemed to cringe as if expecting to be hit. He closed his yes in preperation but when the hit never came he blinked hi eyes open and glanced around slowly, his ears perking up once more. He smiled and almost laughed.

OOC| Hope you don't mind me joining you? n_n Oh! And I recognize that template. It's good to see it put to use. IC|i.c.eWhy can't I make it? Those words reached the ears of the snow leopardess from her ledge several yards up. Ice was virtually invisible against the marbled grays, browns, and blacks of the mountains. At least, she was until she moved. That cry -- down below -- had interrupted her rest. Peering down over the edge of her perch, the gray leopard squinted, eyes finding the form of a muddied leopard. Downside to spring: mud. Higher in the mountains there would be less mud and more snow. And that was where she supposed she was headed. Just not quite yet... Ice didn't say a word as she slipped down from her resting place and moved down until she came to stand on the very boulder the other feline had tried to reach only a few moments before. There she stood, her tail-tip curling curiously behind her. "Just what is it you're trying to do?" the snow leopardess asked, not unkindly as she eyed the male. Closer up she could see his fur wasn't really covered in mud (well, it was a little, but not all of it), but rather, it was naturally a brown color. Not like the leopards she's used to seeing. She had no idea he had been trying to reach the top of this very boulder. OOC| Ok. That sucked. Sorry. >< I've been RPing on a MUCK lately so I've been using present-tense stuff... xD Definately doesn't help forum-based RPing...

(cool XD heres her prof psychosiscomic.proboards104.com/index.cgi?board=profiles&action=display&thread=341 ) Draka padded over the mush that was left of the snow. She missed the time when the snow would be deeper than she was tall, a time when she could leap into the snow and forget everything while she enjoyed the crystals glittering in the sun. She wandered around the mountainous area, doing nothing in particular, just enjoying the peaceful silence. As she wandered, Draka heard a voice up ahead and decided to go see who else was on this slowly thawing rock of a land. She proudly puffed out her chest and walked upto the two leopards standing near the boulder. Draka attempted to look proud and walked upto the leopards without fear. "Hi there random leopards." She said in her sing-songy voice, sitting back on her haunches a few feet away from the other cats.
