(Ignore the lame title,I totally didn't know what to put it as O.o)
At the first glance the mountains were beautiful. A fresh layer of snow,a white blanket covered the ground. It was like a pure white sea with mountains towering up above. The sky was bathed in scarlet and amber by sunlight scattered as the sun set. The moon was already climbing up wards into the sky,a pale glow around it. The winter was almost over, but the conditions were still harsh and snow still fell. It would be a number of sun sets before the inhabits of the mountains could move to the higher altitude areas. A band of gray cloud with a touch of pink dotted the sky, light snow falling from them.Yet only it's look were admirable but to live here, you lead a grim and difficult life.
An icy wind cut against the mountains barely reached past the leopard's woolly warm undercoat. Light smoky gray paws traveled through the snow, leaving fresh paw prints in the snow. His coat was much lighter during the winter looking as if mist covered him. The fur was perfect for hunting and camouflage in the mountains. As fit as he seemed for leaving in the mountains, they have left their mark in Dartak. His fur hung over a bony figure, his coat dirty and tangled. His mind wasn't clear,a fuzzy feelings what keep returning to it making Dartak feel dizzy and unsure of things. Dartak's usual ice blue eyes were tinted red and clouded after countless days of no sleep. His nights of hunts unsuccessful.
As he breathed out his breath was visible in the air. With a sigh dropped his hindquarters to the ground, breathing in the crisp air. He waved his head from left to right, searching for the slightest scent of prey. *Ugh,if only New leaf could come sooner. How many moons until New leaf anyways? The Frozen rain season never last this long, did it? And I always found prey before this long, did they migrate somewhere? It's not possible that they moved up already is it?* His thoughts and questions scattered across his mind jumping from one topic to another,Dartak wasn't thinking straight. His nights were becoming more and more tougher -- perhaps even numbered. Mostly anyone could see he wasn't in his prime condition.
Forcing all the energy he had,you stood up and shock the brand new snow off. His eyes scanned the ground hoping to find some sign, proof of prey. Nothing. With another sigh he turned around heading back to his shelter. He dragged his paws across the snow, eyes closed but other senses alert. A scent reached his nose other than the rocks and snow,if you considered them to even have a scent. He changed his direction and stared the other way. Sniff. Another step ahead. The scent was clearer, stronger. But it wasn't prey.He continued to move forward but more cautiously. Sniff. His paws stopped moving as if they were frozen to the ground. Dartak new the scent now. A bloodcurdling growl arose in his chest. It was another feline -- on his territory. He was weak and exhausted but he wouldn't let another cat steal the pitiful amount of prey on his territory and he doubted that he could steal territory from another Snow Leopard in his condition. He needed it dearly. No,he would stand and fight.

Key had been walking aimlessly and hunting as she pleased for days. She was on one of her aimless walks when she heard a growl, it was deep and threatening. Key turned to look at her pursuer. Her eyes widened, reflecting the snow and the pity that she felt come up inside her. Shaking her spotted head, her bangs following the motion, she cleared her head of the random thoughts. Riminding herself to stay calm she sat down in the snow, still facing him, curled her tail around her paws, and waited.
For a few minutes they sat there, staring eye to eye. This was the kind of silence that Key hated so she took it upon herself to try and start a conversation. Skipping an introduction she started to look around and at the sky. Giggling like a kitten she flopped over onto her back and looked up at the appearing stars, "Oh, they're beautiful. Don't you think?" Key lay there with her head resting on a rock, she was very comfortable where she was, "That's why I like it so much up here...the stars always seem to be happier up here..." She hardly realized that she had just made it sound as if the stars were alive.
"Some times...I wish that I could be like the stars...They always seem as if they have no worries. Nothing seems to bother them....even in the middle of a war they seem to be happy, as if a hidden meaning or happiness still exists..." Key was just starting to realize how stupid she must look by laying on her back in the snow. Hurridly she rolled over and pulled herself to her feet. The Puma-Cheetah mix loved the snow and didn't mind it...she just didn't like the wet fur that accompanied it. Key fluffed up her fur around her shoulders and shook herself, having the build of the cheetah and fur of a puma worked in her favor sometimes...just not now, she didn't have the body fat to stay warm, only the fur.

1,2,3,4,5... The seconds seemed countless before Dartak really saw who this stranger was.You could call it torture really, each second wad intense and Dartak was slightly weaken. He never thought his condition was this bad.His fur was bristling and his lips drawn back to revel a set of ivory teeth.Even with this weakened state he still looked like he could put up a fight to leave a few scratches and bites. In his throat a menacing growl could be heard to all ears nearby. Yet it would be a fool's luck to win this battle if the other feline had fortune smile upon him.The feline's scent carried a while before to him before it actually appeared. Dartak strained to see this stranger. A tawny blur stood out against the snow falling like a dark ray of the sun.The snow has started to fall down as flurries, gently and gradually falling to the ground,to form another part of the quilt of snow.
As the figure approached him,he saw it had a graceful and delicate figure. Despite Dartak's dull eyesight,he managed to distinguish some features. His legs were firm with big paws, much suitable like his paws for walking on the snow. The fur of the feline was spotted and had tear trail markings. Dartak has never seen such an unusual coat pattern before,it looked as if the feline was crying for days no stop. *A lean light figure, well feed I see. Ah,but with it's light weight I could possible knock him over...* As he absorbed the frame of the cat,he didn't lose his ground but was growing weaker. It had taken more energy than he thought to stay still but tense for a couple of minutes. The scent off the cat was coming to him like waves,he could smell him clear even though his vision was a bit blurry. Wait. The feline wasn't a male -- it was female!
The growl in Dartak caught short immediately and sounded as if he choked. All this time he thought it was a male. He backed up a few steps as if the female could and would claw his head off his neck. The fuzzy feelings returned to his mind, making his thoughts indistinct. He didn't know what to really do,what to say or what to think. He just sat down and stared at the female for just a blink and then quickly studied his paws. *Oh,ya smart thinking* He growled at himself.A silence hung over them making it seem for Dartak to think to breath.
What seemed like long uncountable years to Dartak he heard a noise he last expected to hear -- a giggle. It was pleasant to the ear,it appeared to of cleared his mind and reminded Dartak of his "golden" years as a cub. . . with his brother and mother. He sighed to himself and looked up. The odd she-cat was laying on the snow her amber eyes locked to the night sky and slowly appearing stars that were coming out of a dark curtain.
"Oh, they're beautiful. Don't you think?" Her words seemed to have drawn Dartak's eyes to the sky without him even noticing.Yes,they were indeed beautiful. His mind was lost up with the stars, his worries lifted.
"Yea."[/color] He managed to regain control of his voice, though it was tiny and soft.
"That's why I like it so much up here...the stars always seem to be happier up here...ome times...I wish that I could be like the stars...They always seem as if they have no worries. Nothing seems to bother them....even in the middle of a war they seem to be happy, as if a hidden meaning or happiness still exists..." These words made Dartak's thoughts come down to him. They reminded him his starved appearance and the hunger that clawed at his belly.
" If only we all could be. It would be nice to have no worries,no grief. But instead some creatures are just too narrow minded to think beyond themselves and make things difficult for others."
His words sounded clam and humble but as they neared the end they nearly came out as a snarl. Only one being would know what that sentence remarked to -- his brother which was missing probably dead. His gaze snapped toward the female,in a flash she was sitting again. His mouth was pulled back to revel a small small at the females childish actions. Dartak realized he didn't know her name. He mounded up some courage to ask her.
"What's your name?"

" If only we all could be. It would be nice to have no worries,no grief. But instead some creatures are just too narrow minded to think beyond themselves and make things difficult for others."
His words reached her ears, they were fuzzy to her. She could just make out the words and the snarl towards the end...she was cold, and the new snow wasn't helping. Key fluffed up her fur again, trying to help it dry out, "Stupid cheetah genetics...I can never have any fun..." She muttered to herself.
"What's your name?"
She looked back up at him, she had just been looking at her paws and studying the spots...lost in thought. His words had brought her back to reality and she smiled at him. It was gentle, and probably the only warm thing about her body right now. Key shivered a little then decided she had wasted enough time with her own concerns. "My name...I haven't used it in a while..." A single snowflake drifted down and landed on her nose in the small flurry, she giggled a little bit as it melted. The cold water tickled her nose as it dripped off, with a small laugh still in her voice she told him, "My name, it Keyna."
Key looked up at the sky again and pouted, small clouds were moving in and blocking out the stars, "And then there's the reason I don't like it here...The clouds always come in on the best of nights..." She sighed and then clambered onto a rock, hoping that staying out of the snow would give her at least a small chance at warmth. Key pushed the snow off and sat down, wrapping her tail around her legs she apologized, "I'm sorry for being rude...I get kind of cold after my fur gets saturated...I'm not fully meant for the climate." Her teeth chattered a bit at the end and she clamped down her jaw to stop the trembling. Once more she looked at the sky, the clouds were getting thick now, one of the many storms may be moving in...hopefully it was just passing over.

The young feline studied her paws, seeming as if she had to memorize and take in ever detail, every spot that was spread across her paws. He wondered what she was thinking of.He saw a ripple of muscle as she shivered form the biting wind,he didn't take much notice of it but Dartak did realize that the she cat's fur wasn't as thick as it needed to be in able to keep the icy wind out. The thought of fur made him glance at his own,he noted that his looked far worse but hey,at least it did it's duty of keeping him warm and unseen by prey. Ah,prey. If only there was at least a bird of some sort,it might satisfy some of the hunger.
His attention snapped back to the female,he wasn't thinking clearly. There was a smile on her delicate and petite face.
"My name...I haven't used it in a while..." She said it quietly and smoothly as a white lone snowflake drifted down to her nose,a small giggle escaping her lips before it melted. Another snowflake landed irritatedly on a whisker above his clouded blue eyes. He lifted a hefty paw and removed the snowflake. He was more relaxed now with the female, but that didn't mean the butterflies were gone form his stomach. The stilled seemed to be thumping hard against his stomach.
"My name, it Keyna."
Keyna,eh? It was a nice name,a unique one,one that Dartak has never heard before. Oddly enough,he heard quite a few names form the stories his mother would tell him, some where of distance lands and others were supposedly that happened right outside his cave. A warm feeling feel over him, thinking of the stories that entertained him and his brother, along with a tint of sadness. He longed to remember some of the stories, maybe a meal would. He chuckled at the idea. He sat down to make himself more comfortable in the snow,he felt tired and exhausted again. His gray head sagged between his shoulders and his ears dropped.
"That's a nice name. I - I'm Dartak."
His head didn't move but his eyes gazed to Keyna. Her full attention was the the sky again. He thought was good humor, *Hm,it's quite easy to see her heads always up in the clouds.*
"And then there's the reason I don't like it here... He pondered on what she meant fora moment, and followed her gaze up to the night and observed the sky and saw hulking clouds flowing though the sky. He breathed in the crisp air,he liked it here at times. It was peaceful, much as he liked it.
"The clouds always come in on the best of nights..."
"I guess you could say that. But,my mother she told me all these stories along with weather lores." [/sup]Dartak stopped as he gave a slight chuckle, "She told me that small clouds moving along the sky means that the next night, you can take small steps and really get somewhere with them...supposedly,I'm not sure if it's true myself."[/sup] Dartak shifted to make himself more cozy, wrapping his long tail neatly around his paws. He was slowly starting to get used to Kenya, she had a cheery personality that he rather liked. He watched her as she leaped onto a rock,to keep the snow of her he guessed.
"I'm sorry for being rude...I get kind of cold after my fur gets saturated...I'm not fully meant for the climate."
"Oh,you aren't r-rude. Ummm,I got a, um you know - a cave. Y-you can stay there to, you know dry off? For awhile. In the meantime, I gotta hunt. Ya..." Dammit, talking with females just had to be hard. He slowly got up,it would look as if it wouldn't take much energy to lift up him with him nearly starved, but his legs were just as weak. He started making the walk back to the cave, his path made minutes ago wasn't buried too bad in the new snowfall. *You'd better wish that now you don't have to hunt for the two of you. . . oh wait. I gotta tell Keyna she can't hunt here.* Dartak stopped in his tracks, his ears folded back as he didn't want to sound rude...or more like an idiot. "Unfortunately though, you'll h-have to leave before dawn breaks for there isn't enough prey to feed even me. I'm s-sorry but... yea." Ha,so much for not sounding like a retard. * You done well Dartak, you done well.* He thought sarcastically. He turned around and made a pathetic face at himself and sighed, breathing in a gulp of air. Dartak forced his paws to move as they made a a soft crunching sound in the snow leading Keyna to his sheltered cave.
(My god I'm sorry. o.o I seem to be moving at a very slow paste. I promise in my next pose more will happen!)[/sub]

(don't worry, you're not the only one who can't think of anything...*sigh* Give me a few...)
"Oh,you aren't r-rude. Ummm,I got a, um you know - a cave. Y-you can stay there to, you know dry off? For awhile. In the meantime, I gotta hunt. Ya..."
Key peered curiously at him as he stuttered his replies to her. At the meantion of taking her to his cave she shook her head, "I don't want to impose on your time..." She was lost as he started to head deeper into his territory, expecting her to follow. With a small, hidden, sigh she got off her perch and followed him, sticking to his path to avoid getting even wetter. Key's tawny pelt shone with the light of the stars on her black spots and her tear stain markings.
"Unfortunately though, you'll h-have to leave before dawn breaks for there isn't enough prey to feed even me. I'm s-sorry but... yea."
Key gave a small giggle at his words, they were kind of ironic...she had just been thinking about not hunting on another's territory. A small pheasant flitted across her vision but she didn't dare chase after it, she felt bad for him he had to hunt in such meager areas. Pacing now to keep up with his pace she batted at snow absentmindedly, a few ground squirrels scampered away from their now found burrows towards Dartak. Just my luck, I can't hunt and yet I find some food...."
Keyna decided she should probably tell him some food was headed his way, "Dartak! Look out! Ground squirrels!" She would have sprinted around him to catch them, but she held back she was forbidden to hunt so she would not interfere.

With Keyna appearing,it seemed as it she brought a new trail of prey with her. The warm scent of prey drifted toward his pink nose, alerting all his senses. His eyes grew wide and his tail twitched back and forth as the excitement in him continued to grow. He took a deep breath in trying to figure out what unfortunate animal would hopefully become his next meal. Oh,he knew what it was -- it was a pheasant! His jaw parted and his breath became visible in the air.He quickly turned around to face Keyna sending snow flying as it slipped from under his paws. He stumbled a little bit to regain his balance, he looked rather humorous about getting excited over a meager meal. He browsed the snow covered ground and only seemed to make out a tiny set of prints that were slowly vanishing from his eyesight. His eyebrows meet together in a frown as he realized the pheasant escaped. His excitement flared inside him one more time before it started cooling down.
Dartak sat down with a sigh, forgetting about Keyna. Thoughts were rolling through his mind, making him confused. Dartak needed to think for a moment. He was working through the problem slowly and than sat upright. He can follow the tracks! Well,it was better than nothing and new energy woke inside and seemed to expand through him, the tip of his tail twitching as if he sees the bird in front of him this very second.
"Dartak! Look out! Ground squirrels!" Keyna's voice cut through his thoughts and she yelled from behind him. He spun around with his tail trailing through the snow behind him. Her words were true, about 2 or 3 ground squirrels were scattering through the snow heading in his direction. For a second Dartak stood still, like a small house cat surrounded by mice and not sure which one to go after. First this one and next that one. He blinked his blue eyes as if to clear his head and immediately dropped down into a crouch. With the snow falling and his white winter coat,he he hoped to blend in so the stupid little creatures wouldn't notice him. He was perfectly still expect for his tail that twitched with energy. Dartak wasn't going to let this chance slip, especially since they're moving right toward him. As the first two ran right past him Dartak waited without even showing a hint of going after them. Shortly the third one came before him and sprang up with a snarl and landed right behind the marmot and biting it swiftly on the neck. Crack. Instead of minding the ground squirrel Dartak jumped after then second one, his ivory teeth bared and claws extended. Seeing his danger, they ground squirrel tried moving through the snow faster, but it was deep while Dartak has little problem moving through it. His gray paw landed heavily on the ground squirrel with his claws sinking into it's warm flesh and biting it quickly on the neck. He looked up from his prey and say the first one scurrying away. He shrugged to himself. True, his original idea was to get all three, starting with the last one for if he started with the first the other two would scurry off in different directions. Dartak bent down to pick up the marmot and padded back for the other one to pick it up. The scent of fresh blood filled his nostrils as the marmots hung beneath his nose. He turned toward Keyna and smiled as best as he could with the two ground squirrels in his mouth. He tossed his head to the side meaning for her to continue to his cave.
Dartak now traveled swiftly through the snow, his eyes seeming more bright, his head held higher and his movement more graceful from a successful hunt. He plowed through the snow and looked up into the dark night as the snow was falling. The moon shone bright and was waxing off light. He continued to travel toward his cave. He started climbing up higher the mountain, for his cave wasn't on ground. His lanky muscles screamed as he pushed himself from rock to rock. Finally, they had reached their destination. He stood in front of an opening leading to the cave, it looked like the hungry mouth of the mountain. He slowly went inside the cave, and almost immediately felt warmer after he entered the cave, for the powerful walls cut of the wind. The cave was a dark shade of gray, leaving you in a rather dark mood.Stalactites hung from the ceiling and at the right side of the cave,in the high middle of the wall was a ledge and underneath was a slight dent in the floor with tufts of light gray fur here and there. In the back was a small pool of water that seemed to lightly glow in the dark as the light shimmered across it. This was the cave Dartak knew as his winter home. He walked up to the ledge and jumped op onto it and relaxed dropping the ground squirrels. He lay against the wall and looked at Keyna.
He suddenly felt selfish and rude that he was about to enjoy a meal. He looked down longingly at the ground squirrel and took a deep breath. He his head down and wrapped his jaw around a hind leg, jerked back his head ripping the limb off along with the hip, sending some blood scattering and some dropping onto him. He tossed the leg down onto the floor to Keyna. After that he focused on his meal, and bit down into it savoring the taste. When he gulped down the prey in his mouth, he turned his head and attention to the female again. He studied, trying to figure out what species she was. He has never seen another cat's coat similar to hers. Defeated he decided to ask her himself.
"So,what species are you exactly? You seem to get cold the instant wind bites you. And where did you come from?"
The more he though about her,the more questions emerged in his mind. He thingyed his head to the side while he took another delicious bite and waited patiently for her to answer.
(Oh my god, sorry it took so long, school is fudgin' killin' me! xD)

Keyna watched patiently as Dartak caught the last two and the first one escaped. She planted herself firmly on the ground, she wanted to chase it so badly just for fun. Key wasn't even beginning to feel hungry, she stood as he collected his prey feeling relieved that he looked better just after a succesful hunt. Smiling inwardly she followed him to even higher areas to reach his den. It was beautiful to her, the dark, wet walls sparkled in the small amount of moonlight. It seemed like the night sky to her...with no clouds to hide it.
Key's thoughts were abruptly brought back down to earth as she heard the wet thunk of meat landing near her paws. Shaking her head she picked it up and set it down by his paws, "I'm not hungry. I always eat before trying to cross through another's territory. Besides..." She paused as she turned to walk back to her spot, "you look like you need it more than I do." Key laughed lightly, it was like windchimes in an almost non existent breeze.
Once settled back into her place with her head on her tan grey paws. Key heard his question, it was genuine curiousity. She sighed to herself, Everyone notices....no exceptions... Shaking her head to clear it she waited for a few moments, trying to judge whether she should tell him that she was a hybrid or not. Her history didn't have many nice people about it she decided that she could trust him to not try to kill her upon hearing it, "I'm a hybrid..." She stood up and stretched the full extent of her legs, they were cheetah but with the large paws on her father. Looking at him in the eye she sat down, "Part cheetah...part puma."
Key watched him anxiously for any signs of anger, annoyance, or intolerance. If she saw anything but puzzlement or something that was more positive she would sprint. Back down to the base of the mountain by the savahnnah. It was moderate there but still cloudy she could live there...if she wanted too. Suddenly a question flew into her head like a speeding bullet, "Dartak...Why are you so thin? There seems to be enough...I think..."

Dartak watched as she left the leg, returning back to her original spot. He twitched his left ear, just within a second you could barely notice it. Next he blinked his eyes, and then shuffled on the ledge to get into a more conformable position. He wasn't sure what to do,maybe she would want it later.Or perhaps she was just being polite, after all she did say he needed to more. He felt unsure, but when Keyna laughed it seemed to prove to him she wasn't really hungry. Guiltily,he was pretty happy she rejected it,for he could than save the leg for later, in case future hunts turned out to be like the several past ones. Unsuccessful.
Dartak's ears caught the soft sigh from Keyna after he asked the question. Maybe she wanted her privacy. He quietly ate while she thought for a few moments. She seemed to be thinking over what to say,or if to even say anything at all.
"I'm a hybrid..."Part cheetah...part puma." As she said it,she stood up and stretched while looking at her paws. Dartak glanced at them too. Well, they're were the size of a puma, but the claws weren't retractable. His mother told him about cheetahs, and said they can't hide their claws and had permanent black tear drops. Why didn't I think that before? Dartak thought to himself. He looked away from her paws and saw that she was looking at him, searching for something... He ducked his head embarrassed,he didn't want to make any eye contact.
"Dartak...Why are you so thin? There seems to be enough...I think..." He took another bite of the ground squirrel before answering her question. He looked from his prey and stared into the opening of the cave. "Hmm,if only there was enough prey. There isn't,my nights of hunts o have been unsuccessful and after a while it became tiring, and at times I would lose the prey." Answered Dartak. He licked his chops and paws, his warm pink tongue flashing in and out.He had finished already one ground squirrel. Dartak wrapped his teeth around it and jumped of the perch, making his way to the back. The leopard than dropped the food behind a rock, for later. True,he was still hungry but it was smart to save it for later. "Of course, when you go hungry you go thinner." He added with dry humor. He walked back to his ledge, but instead lied under it. He opened his mouth, releasing a yawn, showing ivory teeth. "You know,I think you would be more suited for the Zaltanian Scarps. I'm not trying to be rude but it's a mountain region, but not as cold." -- He chuckled here -- "Yet here,Mount Miaziden, also has it's ups. It's beautiful, and fun to explore. Hmm,perhaps you would once like to." He looked at her and smiled,it was true. He knew some amazing sights and strangely,he wouldn't really mind showing some to Keyna.

Key watched as he lay under his ledge and smiled at her, "That would be nice." She turned her head to watch the cotton-like snow drifting outside of the doorway, "It would be even nicer if I could see the sky though." Not really thinking much about anything she padded over to the opening to gaze out at the white wonderland, "If I went to the scarps I wouldn't be able to see this." She gestured to the snow with her puffy tail without looking back at him.
Key's clear blue eyes drifted along the outlines of the rocks underneath the snow then headed back out into the distant blackness, no light shined through the cover of the clouds over head. She sighed, she hated it when it stormed like this...there was no chance at all to see the stars. "The snow looks like kittens fluff." She commented with a giggle as a rather large snowflake landed inbetween her eyes. She crossed her eyes to get a better look at it as it melted, silently she closed her eyes as the water crossed over her eyes and down her black tear trail markings.

Dartak looked at the young cat with humor, his head was cockyed to the slightly to the side and a crooked smile on his face. Dartak shook his head to himself and got up and padded to the opening of the cave, sat down but a fair distance from Kenya. True, he was warming up to her quicker than he thought he could and with her bright attitude she was easy to talk to, but the butterflied didn't entirely go away. He glanced outside and absorbed the snowflakes, his interest flying from one flake to another.
"Hm, I think the look like fall stars themselves against the mountains.Heh, so there are your stars Kenya." He said with a trace of humor, still looking at the snow. He blinked his eyes and looked them at his paws. Dawn wasn't approaching for yet a while, and he gained a bit of energy from his meal well, he might as well do something. The Snow Leopard lifted his head up and looked at Keyna. "Well, while the night is still young, I'll show you some of the places. Anyways, there isn't really a different thing to do,save for hunting, which I may be able to do on the way. So, what do you say? Hm, it might even be fun." He looked down again and thought to himself. Fun, hah, he didn't have much of it lately. He looked over his body and saw how out of condition he was. Well, it wasn't really the time to have fun neither, he absorbed. Still, it can't hurt and might help with the stress.
Holding back a sigh, he got up and without waiting for a answer from Keyna, he got out the cave and jumped onto rock to rock then and onto the fresh snow. He had actually forgotten about Keyna, Dartak was rather determined about doing something different and better for a change. Ha, that wasn't very nice of him. His paws barley sunk into the snow, helping him travel faster. He couldn't image how other cats can live here that aren't suited for it, but image how he would be a outcast in a tropical jungle. Ugh,living in a jungle wouldn't be so good, with all the trees around how could you possibly have enough room to move about? His thoughts were drifting from the ground again, as they were doing for the past few days.Shaking his head and looking down at the ground, hoping it would keep his concentrated he noticed his and Keyna's paw prints. Their tracks were almost gone, fading under the snowflakes. Seeing Keyna's faint tracks reminded Dartak of Keyna. He stopped short, and spun around, fear spreading across his face. All he could see was the dark mountain and the now quickly falling snow. Dartak was going rather fast, and if Keyna followed him she might of had been slow down by the snow. Quickly he started jogging back to his cave, hoping Keyna stayed there. If not, where could of she gone? The mountains could be a dangerous place, especially if you're not used to them.

Keyna's green eyes sparkled at his words to show her his 'special places'. Her brow furrowed then, he had walked out at quite a fast pace. this'll be a challenging game... she inwardly was very exited and tried to follow his rapidly disappearing prints. They were going faster than she could even be able to tell were they were heading. The snow blocked her vision out, she couldn't see well at all. Key growled in frustration and headed onward, missing a turn that Dartak had made she continued on in a straight line. As the passage narrowed her fur brushed more against the sides, leaving her scent behind her.
