Yes definitely. Part of the greater American society believes in only having one wife aside from those who actually practice polygamy (in hiding of course.) I thought it was weird and crazy before watching the show Big Love. Once I saw it, I was like "Well....if they do things legally...then what do I care?" Where as before I was like "Oh...hell no thats gross." Personally, I would be a jealous wreck if I lived a part of that culture XD
But comic wise, thank you ^^

I think it's weird in real life. But I think it's a great idea for the comic and this roleplay seeing as they ARE lions after all. xD

Hmmm, in real life I personally wouldn't like a polygamist culture, but in the comic is puts a very interesting spin on things.
It makes people go "Ooohhh something new other than the same old, same old!"

Irl I find it strange, and I am against it, but I don't condemn those who practice it. For the comic I agree with Anisi, they are lions afterall XD
But there is another thing that isn't as widely heard of as polygami, and that's polyandri; which means to have more than one husband =3 There are some cultures who've had, and many may still practice polyandri, but it's a very few compared to those that practiced polygami xD

Yes I know a lot about Polyandry ^^ I had to study the different forms of marital status for my Human Sexuality class. Its a very interesting concept ^^

So how does it work around here. Do the males just pick the girls and are the girls allowed to have cubs to different males? Sorry.. sort of not what we are taking about but I thought I would pop the question in here.

First mate: Male and female are all in love and decide to be mates.
Second mate: Male and second female really like/love each other. He must ask his first mate for permission and she must like her. However he is still able to demand that he have her as a second mate.
Third mate onward: Same thing. He usually asks the rest of his mates once he has found someone he likes

Comic wise: I absolutely adore it. I think it works so well with the Aiyalis pride especially, because if they're so keen on promoting lions, having several females to a few strong males is going to help that, yknow. Natural breeding and all that shabang. It's natural for it to be with lions, seeing as that is completely how it is in real life (although in real life with the one male and the entire rest of the female pride, but yaddayadda), and I find it a lot more interesting than the other type of lion roleplayers who refuse to admit that lions would ever do such a thing and that if they meet a mate they're one true loves forever!
BRING ON THE EXTINCTION GAIZ. anyway. xD
IRL wise: I would really, really hate it. I can't stand the thought of cheaters, and I would especially hate to be involved in a relationship like that. I'm an only child, and although I'm not normally selfish, I've never particularly liked sharing things I am extremely attached to, let's say for example, my husband. (which I don't have, but still I imagine I'd be attached if I did!) So in real life, I'd be, like someone else said, a jealous wreck. I don't have a particularly high self esteem, so somehow I don't think polygamy would work for me. xD
Then, I'm sure a few of my characters would rather enjoy it. ;D

I completely agree ^^ And yes so many rpers have this notion of 'one time mates foreverz' however thats not how lions work. They DO have many females per male. So forcing it upon a pride allows for some distinction and plottage. Whoo!
I suppose since we werent part of the polygamist religion that we may say NO WAY. But they find it a way to heaven and only know that kind of lifestyle. So, whatever works XD

I think it works for the story, and makes allot of sense, seeing as that's what big cats do naturally. In fact, I find it kind of weird how it doesn't normally occur in role play forums at all. In real life I don't even mind it to much, if every body involved is fine with it, then they can do as they please.

Well, I think it is pretty normal, I mean, they all are lions/lionesess, so it is natural (yes, not for me, we ligers are kinda solitaire ^^) But it depends on the public of course, you could get kids confussed in that aspect, but there's also the option of making it like a big family, like in TLK, with many females, not necessarily involving sex with only one or two males *lol* Er.. it is not a yiffy comic, is it? XD
